New Master's in Sports Management & Events launches at Les Roches Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches has launched a Master of Science in Sports Management and Events. KALM Partner Dr. Melita N. Moore joined the launch panel alongside senior figures from the UAE Olympic Committee and Dubai Sports Council.

Led by Professor Nicholas Thomas, Assistant Dean of Academic Programmes, and Professor Scott Richardson, Academic Dean, the programme is designed to prepare professionals for the operational, commercial, and governance roles that the UAE's sports sector increasingly demands. Students can study full-time or part-time, with industry placements and an international field component split between Abu Dhabi and Switzerland.

The launch panel framed sport as an ecosystem now extending well beyond the athletic field — into management, events, medicine, and esports. The UAE hosts more than 150 sporting events annually, and Dr. Moore highlighted the rapid growth of the esports sector regionally, where institutional capability is still being built.
